Weekend in MUNICH GERMANY | A First-Time Visitor’s Guide

I spend the weekend visiting all the top attractions in Munich Germany.

In this Munich Travel Guide I start the day by walking to Munich Old Town where I met my guide from GuruWalk for a free walking tour of Munich.

We visited so many locations on this tour including:

Marienplatz to see the Glockenspiel clock on the Rathaus.
St Peters Church
The Farmers Market
The Hofbrauhaus
Odeonsplatz
The Residence
and so much more.

After the tour finished I then revisited some of the locations and went inside them such as the Residenz where I spend a few hours looking around the rooms. I climbed to the top of St Peters Church.

Visited the Frauenkirche, Rathaus and the Hofbräuhaus to have a litre of Beer as well as so many places around the old town.

For dinner I went to Andy’s Krablergarten where I had the biggest schnitzel I have ever seen.

The next day I visited the filming location of the factory gates from the 1971 movie Willy Wonka and the chocolate factory.

I spend the afternoon at Therme Erding, enjoying the waterslides and spa.

In the evening I checked into my hotel the Novotel Munich Airport.
