Some 8mm cine footage taken of the M.S. Enotria in the Mediterranean in 1959. This ship was built for the Italian Adriatic Line in 1951 and had a gross tonnage of 5,200, and carried some 268 passenger. This ship and her sister the Messapia cruised a number of mediterranean destinations such as Italy, Greece, Cyprus, Israel, Lebanon, Syria and Turkey. I beleive this cruise took place in 1959, and the passengers visited Israel.
Although a complete shot of the outside of the ship is not here, it is well worth searching out as these Adriatic Line ships are thought to be particularly pretty…the Italians have a way with design I guess!
