  1. I don't use tomato paste for flavor. I grow my own tomatoes and vegetables which I use to make my own tomato sauce. I only use tomato paste for a bit more thickening, which allows me to make more sauce from the available materials without adversely affecting flavor.

  2. Nothing is real anymore, it's all fake, yet they lie to us about the quality of products and we believe their lies.

  3. Muir Glen is only a hair better than Hunts. Contadina tastes horrible. Idk what store he goes to where its more expensive but its definitely a discount brand everywhere ive lived around the country. The worst brands ive ever had are Our Family from D&W and whatever the store brand was at Harris Teter.

Do you ever use enough paste that you can really taste it? Like is it worth spending THAT much money on the fancy stuff? For me its not.

  4. I pretty much use Cento , Muti and Trader Joe’s brand but i hardly use paste. I only use it for certain dish as an augment.

  5. This is complete BS. Grocery store tomato paste is a crushed, cooked, concentrated, commercially canned (high temp) product. Hunts tomatoes are 100% california grown without "concentration-reconstruction" steps. Tomatoes picked on monday are in cans getting shipped out wednesday. Some brands taste better than others, just like everything else in the grocery store.

  6. Definitely a lot of AI in here. I’m always skeptical of any videos that have only voice-over audio. In addition to the faked Italian accent, note that at the 5:51 point about Libby’s brand, there are 3 B’s in the picture of the can!

  7. Another click-bait video to gather views and likes from someone that can’t distinguish the hidden parts of his anatomy from a hole in the ground. It’s sad that so many people take these uninformed videos from these type of useless individuals. These are the sites your mom told you to stay away from.

  8. I buy Cento when ever I can get a good price. I also try to get tomato puree when I can find them. Even a bad brand can make a great chili. 😅 Oh don't forget ketchup. I don't remember what brand but I do remember that trucks sitting in the yard while they go "bad" so then they make the ketchup.
Now if we knew what GV tomatoes were concentrated in Italy that would be perfect 😁
Never knew Libbey's made tomato products. 😮 If Seneca can't make decent apple sauce how can they make a decent tomato paste?

  9. Another way to get tomato paste flavor is to use dried tomatoes. If you dry your own they can be dried without ever getting them to a very high temperature. They keep a long time in vacuum bags, submerged in oil, or frozen in vacuum bags.
