In Part 3 of the Sri Lanka Vlog, we travel back on ourselves slightly to end up in Unawatuna. In Unawatuna, we stay in land, this is our only non beach front hotel we stay in during travelling Sri Lanka.

The Hotel w stayed in is called KAJU GREEN. It is an Eco resort. Living sustainably of its own land. They have a well where their fresh water comes from so you can drink from the taps! All of the food that is served at Kaju Green is vegetarian. As a non vegetarian, i have to say the food here was AMAZING! It was a great experience for the 4 nights we where to experience traditional Sri Lankan food prepared on site daily. I’d like to say i got bored of Dhal and coconut Sambol, but i really really didn’t!

The fresh coconuts and protein balls were particularly good from the snack menu too!

The rooms in Kaju green are detached bungalow style lodges. THEY ARE AMAZING. I have to say out of our entire trip this was my favourite room we stayed in. The walls were made out of wicker, so light and air could com through. Not without mentioning the huge gap at the top of the rooms straight outside. I loved it. Such a great experience. And The bathroom, was just complete bathroom goals. Polished concrete bathroom of dreams!

I took part in 3 Yoga session which are run from the roof top of the lounge and dining area. They were great! To do a Yoga session in the middle of the jungle, listening to bird sounds and the trees in the wind. It was just so special.

2 other things of note we did whilst staying in Unawatuna. Was have a surf lesson! We went with the best rated one on trip advisor. And we were not disappointed at all. Ranga, a young guy who owns Nalu Surf Shop in Unawatuna. Has a small shop front at the front of of his house. We were welcomed by Ranga and his Mother. before heading to a cove a short Tuk Tuk ride away, surf boards strapped on overhead. He taught us the basics, how to pop up, how to get off safely, and so on before getting into the water. The cove we went to was busy with other beginner surfers as the waves were perfect for starting out on your surf journey. We had a great time.

And also we visited Galle Fort. If you follow cricket at all, Where they play in Sri Lanka is right in front of Galle Fort. Anyway, we had a great evening walking around, it felt strange to be somewhere so busy, as everywhere else we had been had been relatively quiet. There are loads of shops, places to grab gelato, and restaurants in abundance. We ate at Aqua Forte, which is an Italian restaurant, owned by Italians. Who knew! But it was a great meal out. Don’t get me wrong it was not a cheap meal. Think UK prices. But i think that was due to the imported wine. Worth it in my eyes for a great authentic Italian meal and an even better bottle of wine!

Ok I’m rambling. But all in all i loved it. Take you mosquito repellent if you are planning on staying at Kaju Green, you’ll need it.

Only 1 part left! and i’m almost positive it will be the shortest part! Thank you for watching. Please leave me a little thumbs up & a comment if you’re in a really generous mood!

Love You x
