“We’re here at the Olympic Village in Milan, which is coming alive today. We see Team Canada arriving right now. Team France arrived a little bit earlier. Some 1,500 athletes and delegation members will be staying here throughout the games, and we’re starting to see signs of life. They are putting up their team flags in the windows. China’s putting up really cute panda bears, and America has a big banner hanging down from where its athletes are staying. We got to see, look at the rooms, very efficient beds, closets, shower, and anyone who’s been to Italy will know that they will also find a bidet in the room. There are places for the athletes to relax, places for them to work out. There’s a beautiful gym outfitted by Techno Gym and a cafeteria where they can eat three times a day.They, I saw the lunch choices, lots of white meats and fish. Also nuts and beans. Very healthy food for the athletes. Just about everything has been thought about here. So the athletes will have all of their needs met as they prepare to compete in the games, which open Friday with the opening ceremony and close on February 22nd.”

STORYLINE:
Milan’s Olympic Village is coming to life, with the first athletes already moving into the buildings built specifically for the Olympic Games.
The village also features several spaces designed for guests’ relaxation and well-being, including a gym, a video game area, a bar, makeup areas, and a large canteen.
The Olympics run Feb. 6-22.
