Delicious Italian White Sauce Chicken Pasta
This creamy, flavorful Italian-inspired pasta is the perfect comfort food. Loaded with tender chicken, a rich white sauce, and a touch of spice, it’s sure to be a hit with family and friends.
Ingredients
* Pasta: 250g penne or fusilli
* Chicken: 300g boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into small pieces
* Butter: 2 tablespoons
* Garlic: 4-5 cloves, finely chopped
* Green Chillies: 2-3, finely chopped (adjust for heat)
* Fresh Cream: 200ml
* Cheese: 2-3 slices of your favorite cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, etc.)
* Aromatics: 1 tablespoon finely chopped curry leaves, 2 tablespoons finely chopped coriander
* Seasoning: * Salt to taste
* 1 teaspoon black pepper powder
* 1 teaspoon dried oregano
* 1 teaspoon red chilli flakes
* Others: Oil for boiling pasta, 1/2 lemon (optional)
Instructions
* Boil the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add a splash of oil and cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
* Prepare the Chicken: In a large pan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the chicken pieces and cook until lightly browned. Season with salt and black pepper powder.
* Add Aromatics: Add the chopped garlic and green chillies to the pan with the chicken. Sauté for a few minutes until fragrant.
* Make the Sauce: Pour in the fresh cream and stir well. Add the oregano and red chilli flakes.
* Add Cheese: Stir in the cheese slices until melted and the sauce is smooth and creamy.
* Combine and Garnish: Add the cooked chicken back into the sauce. Stir in the chopped curry leaves and coriander.
* Final Touch: Finally, add the cooked pasta to the sauce and toss gently to coat. Serve hot and enjoy!
Tips
* For a richer sauce, you can add a splash of milk or even more cheese.
* Feel free to add other vegetables like mushrooms, bell peppers, or peas to the pasta.
* Adjust the amount of green chillies and chilli flakes according to your spice preference.
