Love is in the air as we approach Valentine’s Day and I’m helping you out by tasting a hell of a lot of pink fizz.

We’re doing a love-in with the cheapest to some eyewateringly expensive sparkling rosé wines – which comes out as the perfect Valentine’s Date, and which is a bit of a limp bunch of flowers? There’s a V good surprise in there too which I’ll be snapping up for next weekend.

As always, bought and paid for by me (and Fred):

Freixenet Italian Rose – £12.50
La Veille Ferme Rose Reserve, France – £12.50
Graham Beck Pinot Noir Rose 2018, South Africa – £20
La Gioiosa Et Amorosa Rose Millesimato Prosecco, Italy – £8.50
Laurent Perrier Rose Crystal, France – £500
Condesa de Flores Cava Rosado, Spain – £5
Laurent Perrier Cuvee Rose Brut, France – £75

  1. I really respect that Tom picked the most budget friendly of the three best as his top pick. Sure Cristal had the top rating, but really, who has 500 quid to drop on a bottle of bubbly? Even £74 is steep.

  2. What is the best glass to drink champagne out of? The Krug guys would prefer you did not use a flute.

  3. £5 v £500 is not really a challenge at all. Most especially within one style. Plus it depends on personal taste, so don't get carried away by reviews and comparrisons.

How about £20-30-ish, aginst £50-60-80- ish something like dessert wine against a gutsy red?

Get to that and it is down to personal prefferences v pcoket more than anything.

  4. I dont care how good something tastes. £500 is an outrageous sum for something you are going to drink in an evening. Dont tell my girlfriend that though. Sweet spot is definitely the £10 – £20 mark

  5. This is what I can call the only wine youtube channel you need. Absolute class! Thanks, Tom.

  6. Honestly the energy from you is brilliant, also loved you on Fin V Internet! We have developed a taste for Cremant now too based on one of your video's! Educational and fun, brilliant!

  7. Definitely using the term “Underpants Juice” the next time I have a glass of terrible wine 😂

  8. Dear Tom, You are the Mick Jagger of wine. And that's a compliment. Blessed Louis Roederer, pray for us.

  9. It always bums me a bit that whenever you show a cava on the channel you get the most budget one available I love your content and i know you don't like cava but maybe giving it a bit of a fairer chance would be nice
