In today’s video, we’re making a traditional and authentic Italian Bolognese 🇮🇹🍝 — slow-cooked, rich, and full of flavor!
We start by browning the ground beef in olive oil until it’s beautifully golden and all the extra moisture cooks off. In a separate pot, we cook the pancetta until it releases its delicious fat, then add onions and cook them until soft and lightly golden.
Next, we stir in tomato paste and let it caramelize for extra depth of flavor, followed by carrots and celery. Crushed tomatoes and red wine go in next, and we let the wine reduce to bring everything together.
Then we add beef broth and the browned beef, cover the pot, and let it gently simmer for about an hour. After that, we uncover the pot, stir in the milk, and continue simmering for another hour, making sure the sauce stays nice and moist (add more broth if needed).
Finish it off with salt and pepper, toss with your favorite pasta, and serve with plenty of grated Parmesan on top 🤍
Enjoy! And don’t worry — this recipe makes plenty of sauce, so you’ll have leftovers too 👍
