We spend 3 days in Venice, Italy and share whether a gondolier boat ride is worth the money, which ticketed attractions such as St Marks Basilica and The Doges Palace are worth your time, and why a day trip to Murano Island and Burano Island makes for the perfect afternoon. We also cover to what extent the crowds impact your stay in late September and share our favourite Italian food discoveries.

I hope you enjoy these 3 days in Venice! Please give the video above a like and let me know if you have any questions, which I'll cover in the follow up Venice Travel Guide video. Thanks for watching!

  2. Surprised you managed to not get loss. I spend many an enjoyable hour trying to get to somewhere 15mins away.

  3. You probably say it in the follow up video but I just want to mention that you can get to Burano and Murano via the public water buses (no need to book a tour).
When I went there (many a year ago)there was also a 72h city card for under 30 that can save you some money.

  4. Great video we are heading there with our friends this year for the first time. We are all very excited!

  5. Picking the time of months to visit makes a world of difference in a wonderful experience in Venice.. We had a similar experience. You touched all the right notes in this video. Well done mates👍👍

  6. Thanks for another fabulous video. Venice is such an awe inspiring place and you brought back so many beautiful memories for us ❤❤❤

  7. I am happy you managed to show that Venice is not only about crowds! After visiting the Doge Palace and Basilica in S. Marco's square (they absolutely worth a visit!), I would recommend going to visit minor islands and see the less touristic part of the city where you can find great trattorie (family-run little restaurants) with local dishes! It can be so quiet, if you just explore off the beaten tracks!
And you can have a day trip to the beach as well, with their long sandy beach at Lido!

  8. Venice was my hometown for many years. And you did an awesome job capturing the city! And also loved your honesty! We love that city so much and miss it daily! We always recommend just walking and getting lost in its calles! Magic! Thanks for sharing! 🧡

  9. Such a helpful guide! I loved that you addressed the fear or congestion. I’m thinking of visiting Venice later this year and news of the crowds has been a pretty persistent turnoff. I’m glad to learn that it seemed to be localized to the most popular areas (at least during the time of your visit). Also, love a good Flintstones reference. 🙃

  10. You have outdone yourself once again!! Perfectly done video and itinerary 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
You just helped me figure out my next trip !! THANK YOU!!!

  11. Really beautiful travel video! I was in Venice many years ago and it’s great to see it still looks just as magical. Thanks for sharing.
