As a Black Southerner, the concept of a FRENCH ONION Mac and Cheese with CROUTONS is deeply unsettling.

Everytime you add something cold to the oven, it affects cook time. Should have just cooked them all at the same time, let them come up to temp (little longer since you aren't cooking just 1) and take them out as they get a good crust on top.
