A double 24 hour MRE review featuring a 2023 Italian Module C Combat Food Ration, a classic canned ration with a fantastic variety of components and accessories. The second one is an incredibly well made lightweight freeze dried 24 hour ration issued to the Alpine Mountain Infantry with a 2024 date of production. It has instant pocket espresso, scrambled eggs with ham, and more.

  1. I would love to see you do some deep dives into components like napkins comparing different types and the effectiveness of them.

  2. I just enjoy the simplicity of Steve’s video’s and ration reviews. After spending 8 years munching on rations during my duties, I resented them. Steve has brought back the joy. Nice!

  3. Looks like MCI US ration in the 50s – 70s that the Italian Army adapt from on to their 2023 Italian 24 Hour Combat Food Ration Module C.

For the Freeze Dried Commando MRE Taste, Definity need Tabasco sauce

  4. For a man with the stomach made of steel to choose not to eat something is telling you all that you need to know about those items.

  5. The menu seems pretty dang good, just the whole setup is a bit behind in terms of tech/methods

  6. Bummer, those cans were spoiled, but what can you do. I'm sure altitude has something to do with the overseasoning, too. Thanks Steve

  7. Okay breakfast is a big nope for me. There is literally no food there. And I am a sweet tooth. But yeah if you're going to be doing anything heavy work or being a soldier you need more to eat in the morning than just caffeine and sugar to make it to lunch.

  8. I went to Italy and I feel like those are my people (Aside from excessive smoking and Caffeine intake) I only have like a pastry and coffee for Breakfast the only difference was they had like 4 espresso's.

  9. 2023 and the Chocolate has bloomed that much? That must be an indication of bad storage especially if it was supposed to be dark chocolate. Looked as crumbly as ones he has opened from he Vietnam War era.

  10. Why does all Italian rations seem like they are part of some corruption scheme by the supplier and the guy who orders them?
