It’s a snowy Sunday here in the Northeast, so Sunday Funday is happening in the kitchen. Recently, during a trip to Gerrity’s The Fresh Grocer, I grabbed a premade kit with three Italian sausages and sliced mixed peppers and onions. I love these because they’re quick and easy—just a bit of pan time to sauté the peppers and onions with a dash of soy sauce. Using hot dog buns, I made three small sausage and pepper sandwiches topped with creamy mustard. They turned out delicious and were definitely worth the buy. Next time, I’ll toast the buns for an extra touch. Until then, stay safe, be blessed, and keep home cooking alive.
