Found this so intriguing and inviting and informative and just for a moment thought I was actually there. Great presentation and love your videos. Thanks for sharing your culture with us. I'm ready to go to the butcher and the baker but am a few continents away.
Also wanted to say this….so often we make life so complicated and it's really the simple life and pleasures that are all we really need. Thanks again for sharing.!!!!
You live in a magical place – just the right size of community, not too big or small and highest quality and variety of daily food. We lived in San Gimignano for a year but wasn’t very welcoming and didn’t have this standard of produce. You’re a lovely couple and I’ll visit in a few weeks hopefully 😊, thank you for your content !
Thank you Marie and Lorenzo for another video that gives me a feeling of nostalgia for Italy. Chianina beef. I recall being in Florence for two weeks in 1992 having beefsteak Fiorentina on several occasions; if one likes a good steak, which I do, this is the ultimate. When visiting my cousin in Rome, she is originally from Emilia, Prov. di Parma, every morning we go out at about 10 a.m. for a coffee to meet and chat with her friends. At this point, after several trips to visit my cousin, I am one of the group,I am greeted with You're back. Good memories. Thank you for bringing them back. Ciao Ciao 👋👋
Marie, lovely as always to walk around and spend a day with you!❤
Beautiful ❤
I love Vicopisano and I hope some day I can come and visit. …in the meantime, my mouth was watering looking at all those breads, meats, cheeses and greens and fruits. You made it a very pleasant experience taking us shopping with you. Thank you.
Omg the baker looks incredible!!! I’d want to move in there! Thanks for your magical videos and your narration is wonderful
Omg id be in heaven there to still have the induvidual shops selling everything you need growing up its all we had butcher fruit shop a small shop of other things you need milk would come round 4am on the milkmans horse and cart and the backer man drove his van round the streets it was so muchbbetter good fresh quality food not like today in big supermarkets where quality is rubbish often going off quick and bread moulds in a day often you find out of date fruit veg goes off cause they freeze it then put out to thaw anyway id be in heaven in the bread shop and my friend would love the gluten free bread its hard to get often makes her own it brought back memories of how we use to shop and neighbours would meet up talk not now do sad anyway thankyou for the great video ❤🌸🌺🏵🌹🪻💖💐👌⚘️🇦🇺 from australia
the meats, cheeses and vegetables all look delicious and I love buying fruits and vegetables in season. What a fun video! I'm hungry now 😂
I am gluten free! I can go here and enjoy! My next trip to Italy will be to your town and this market for sure. When in a restaurant I always ask that they toast the gluten free bread in an oven till light brown or twice on low in a toaster…..reason is that gluten free bread becomes a doughy mush if it is not toasted when hot items (chicken, sauce, etc.) are put on it. Because there is no gluten to make it stick together.
Love the community spirit. In our retired life while caring for family member means life is unpredictable. We shop at our grocery store 2 or 3 times a week. In summer we have a market once a week. Envious of your bakeries and 🧀..Great video. Thank u from 🇨🇦 burrish here minus 30-40 C 🥶
Thanks for sharing another great video 📹 👍🏿 ❤
What a lovely video. Love Italy and the life in small towns. Farmer's markets are divine.
Oh wow! A butcher who also makes gluten free breads . . . not forgetting what I might call a Trattoria. I'd definitely be a regular visitor there if I lived in Vicopisano. I live in a small town in New Zealand and I love that wherever I go, there is always someone to stop and enjoy a friendly chat. Maybe I'm just a 'small town' type of person. Thank you Marie and Lorenzo for sharing so much of yourselves. and your village friends.
Lovely to live in that area of Italy. I love the simplicity of things. Thanks for sharing ❤😊
Just such a delightful video with warm and wonderful people and the delicious food they make and grow. The baker's bread was so perfectly baked and appetizing. Thank you for giving us your "slice of life" in Tuscany, complete with wonderful human encounters. God bless you all!
Siete meravigliosi!! Mi manca l'Italia!!!
I absolutely love watching your videos!! My husband and I are going to be in Lucca in May. We are looking for a home in the region and plan on checking out Vicopisano. I hope I see you and Lorenzo at the cafe or about town while we are there!!
What a lovely couple! I'm so glad I found you today. Things are not good in America. Your videos will help me turn off the news.
I really enjoy "meeting" all your local merchants!
Beautiful video. You add so many interesting details. I love hearing about the meat, and the cheese wrapped in the alfalfa. Thanks for all the effort you put into your videos. I enjoy them so much.
I love Tuscany, And I love your videos too. It's lovely walking around with you both and popping into the local shops , as well as learning how the void is made etc. Thankyou again.❤❤
Hi. love your videos. I saw on one of the travel shows, I think it was the one with Stanley Tucci, that the Tuscans traditionally don't put salt in their bread. I heard your baker describe some of his bread with salt. Does he bake both styles of bread?
America used to be more like this and then went Superstores. I think in many areas we are seeing a return to smaller more local shopping again. I have always preferred my local butcher and baker to the superstores, but convenience does have advantages also.
Wonderful. I remember many of the shopkeepers and especially the cheese lady in the market, from when we stayed in your beautiful Casa Columba! Even though I live in the US I still prefer to shop every day like my mother did in England where I grew up. Hope to visit Vicopisano again soon we loved it there.
So wonderful to see your lokal shops and places near you.
The bread, meat and cheese looks absolutely wonderful!
Thanks for bringing us along. 🙏❤🙂
The food in Italy is like no other. Variety of fresh bread, cheese, meats, pasta, pastries. My parents are from Italy and I spent my summer's there, and I can attest to always eating quality food and spending time with family and friends. I know Italy has its problems, but I miss being there. ❣️❣️
Thank you for wonderful video
Very enjoyable! Thank you for sharing.
Great day at the shops snd market. Would like to see you both in your home cooking.
Hi guys. New subscriber. Great couple and a great channel!
Oh, I do love your shopping tours of Vicopisano ❤ I could quite happily live there😊 Everything is so fresh and healthy and everyone is so friendly and helpful. How blessed are you. Thankyou for sharing ❤
🌶️ Ohh I love your markets and shops. I’ve never seen purple artichokes, only green. I so enjoy them also.
Though I have never eaten turmeric bread, it looked wonderful!
Wow cheese wrapped in alfalfa, very interesting. I would definitely purchase some. Pepper and truffle cheeses are nice choices.
I learn about a few new things from your channel each week.
Thank you Lorenzo and Marie.
The food looks like masterpiece! The bread, meat, chease
Great video.. lovely narrative Marie.. great job 👏
@authentictuscany Oh i’m So glad you have added details for gluten free options. I will definitely use your recommendations upon a my next visit. Thank you for sharing!
A Great Day an Enjoyable and Fun Day! Cheers!
Marie and Lorenzo this video is going to be very helpful for our month long visit . This is what we’re hoping to experience. Daily life in an Italian village.
In 2001 I purchased an apartment in an old farmhouse on the chiianti classical wine trail called Castelnuovo beratedga. It is a wall town in which there is the Newcastle of Bernard. The center of life is the bar. Centrale pand I think that is true in many other similar towns.
Wonderful podcast. Love meeting everyone.
Italy is quite possibly THE most boring country in the world, all they do is drink lukewarm coffee, and its a dump
Loved this thanks from new zealand 🇳🇿 ❤️
Such a cool place.❤
love it
OMG! absolutely love the community feel and those cheeses and bread we are both lovers of the simple staple foods. Michael loves baking bread I think we will be definitely visiting the baker for some goodies. Thank you for a wonderful look at Vicopisano in winter. 🥰😍
I love your videos, this one almost made me book a ticket! I am coming in September 🤩
