São Paulo has an Italian neighborhood?!

I went on a journey to visit the centenarian bakeries of Bixiga to see if the neighborhood still had the Italian pulse. I was impressed by the quantity of different authentic Italian and Italian-Brazilian options that the neighborhood had.

While the neighborhood is not particularly Italian in my observations, these staples still attract the old schoolers in the neighborhood, and highlight the strong southern Italian influence in the neighborhood. 🇧🇷🇮🇹
