Marco’s New York Italian Restaurant which opened with the new Holiday Inn Hotel in Blackpool Town Centre is set to close on January 12th to be replaced with the existing Platform 9 hotel restaurant.

I have read from January 12th the expanded platform 9 will be up and running with the bar moved apparently. If this is the case any chance you could review the new layout and menu . Thanks
Afternoon steven wow a nice new resturant marcos thats interesting youd sure make alot of money opening a buisiness in blackpool the holiday inn looks very popular it looks posh i know its a very old hotel chain and ive never stayed in 1 just avoid britania hotels i stayed in 1 in aberdeen and oof the heat in my room was atrocious and there was no window to open either it was like a sauna and my bed looked rotten dirty i had to sleep ontop of the bed ova night but the staff were amazing very hospitable and kind but crikey the job center in blackpool looks ok to me it probably does need a revamp but its nothing 2 major i rekon it just needs those metal things taking off and painting multi colored squares to brighten it up and awww dog poo bags its like that in portsunlight and birkenhead people usually throw dog poo bags on the grass verge we have bins in the village etc but it is discusting behavior from some folk but society dont care about us having to walk on it as for the ivy on the fence it looks oddand it doesnt look right there thats just my opinion id of had topary trees there it would look great but blackpool is looking grand today at least the suns out and its not 2 cold its warmed up abit now in birkenhead it was raining earlier but its not now and i love learning things from your chanel your videos are inspiring 👍 but as always enjoy your afternoon and take care and il see you on your next video 🎪⛱️🎠🏢🕌🏦🚲🛴🎬🕊🎡🎢🍺❄️🌤📷🥰🫂❤️🗼👍

Blackpool visitors like value and there's a lot of competition why pay high prices when you can get it a fraction of the price elsewhere and probably as good. I saw it in a canteen style hotplates not freshly cooked to order so maybe it wasn't worth the hype??? thanks Stephen ❤
Such a shame , I know it's pricey but the meals there are excellent & the staff are friendly too , me & my wife stayed there last week it's a lovely hotel & I'm sure when it's platform 9 throughout it's gonna be brilliant 😊😊

Marco's was probably just too expensive for the Blackpool clientele. We had a Marco's restaurant in Glasgow city centre and that shut down after about 2 years or so. Expensive restaurants like that only thrive in capital cities which attract major tourism.

Marcos survival presumably depends on the demographic off the area, and Blackpool isn't in the high end. Do you have to keep mentioning Blackpool all the time? Enjoy your down to earth approach and your respect for the town.

Stay there a lot. Marcus wasn't good value for money. Better restaurants not too far away from Holiday Inn 😮

Went there last January for my birthday. Food was ok but expected better as it was expensive for what we had. I have had steak just as good at a Beefeater for a fraction of the price. However, biggest issue was the service. Absolutely shocking. Too many issues to list here but will give one example. We all ordered steaks. None came with a steak knife. Had to call a server back to get her to bring us them. Doesn’t help when they add a service charge to the bill. We ended up getting this removed from our bill as it was so bad.
I hadn't even realised that the Marcos had opened! And it's shut already!
I had a friend who worked there and said it was always empty. Having a chef who hasn't been relevant for 20+ years be the name for it wasn't going to work. Also to mention that hotel is going to be under threat when Winter Gardens eventually construct their hotel and can offer a whole package too. Finally the Train Station is a state and needs to be upgraded.
