Eat up! 🪙🎆🎉
What traditions do you have for NYE!? Comment 👇

This tradition is celebrated by Italians all over the world. It dates all the way back to Ancient Romans who gave lentils in a purse (scarsella) as a New Year’s gift to symbolize good fortune and prosperity.
✅ From a culinary medicine perspective, lentils are a rich source of dietary fiber, plant protein, and other micronutrients. They’re also very convenient due to their shelf, stability and versatility. So I say, eat up!

  1. It’s interesting to see the different traditions around the world. In Spain, they eat 12 grapes, one for each strike of the midnight clock. I think it has something to do with the wine they produce maybe?
