  2. ¨I am lactose intolerant…¨ Nope girl, you are not !!! You can´t deal with some of the many banned in Europe additives, used in what the US calls food. Crap we consider NOT for human consumption.

  3. The real, huge problem in the United States is the chemicals allowed in food. Many products banned in food worldwide are allowed in your country. In Europe, for example, nothing can be added to food unless it's first scientifically proven to be harmless to humans. In the US, however, any substance can be added unless its toxicity is proven. Despite this, many substances are still used because they're toxic or carcinogenic, but only in high quantities. For example, I work in a candy factory in Italy. The candy we produce for the American market is banned in the rest of the world and is made specifically for this purpose. After producing it, we have to wash all the machines to avoid contaminating products for other countries. Usually, you can smell the scent of fruit during production, while American candy reeks of plastic and chemicals… it breaks my heart to think of children eating them. The most absurd thing is that the cost is not much different: American distributors are willing to poison their neighbors' children not to enrich themselves, but simply to scrape the bottom of the barrel and collect a few dollars at the end of the year (we're talking tens of dollars, not thousands).

  4. Most italian wheat is imported from Canada (we're a tiny slice of land with 59.000.000 of people, there isn't enough land).
    It's not the wheat, it's the process.

    If you want some advice: stop using butter. We use almost NO butter, butter is "easy" and "cheap" but it's really hard to digest and not really bio-friendly.
    Instead (as an Italian) use olive oil and cook it at lower temperatures to avoid denaturation.

  7. As an Italian, I tell you that the food is better, but the milk produced in Italy wouldn't be enough for Italians' breakfast, so how can they also have it for cheese and for export?

  9. As an italian woman i can say we don't use stone mill anymore( just in some rare case small cities)
    BUT we have first of all more genuin products,from wheat to everything else. AND WE RESPECT THE TIMETABLE!!in Italy from 12 to 15 everything is CLOSED …you go home and eat slowly homemade food or you'll go in a nearby restaurant who made fresh homemade food!! We don't hurry,we always eat warm quality food and about the pizza. .that frozen pizza in supermarket are bought ONLY by strangers…an italian will eat FRESH PIZZA JUST MADE ALWAYS!!!

  11. Every country in the European Union has FOOD HEALTH STANDARDS … compared to U.S. standards THEY DIFFER A LOT.
    Due to different LAW approaches, in Europe you have to test a product to be save first BEFORE market – in USA you hope for the best and MAYBE get SUED.

  13. Italiens DON‘T drink coffee WITH MILK after a WARM MEAL, because it MIGHT have a bad influence on digestion (HOT weather NO AC). Italiens think customer is king and DENY cappuccino after 12 to PROTECT THE KING (so he can come back next day) –
    American customer KINGS give sh*t , think they know it better AND PAY THE PRICE.

  16. Italy, the entire EU, Japan, Australia, South America. Probably Middle East.
    There are many countries that know how to eat.
    Processed food is the issue.
    You north american friend, find local food. The smaller the company that produces the food, the more likely it is to be healthy.

  17. As a German who spent some time in the US I must have gotten lucky. Never had problems like bloating or skin irritations but I lived in the country side of Montana on farms and ranches…so it probably more due to location more then anything

  19. 'Stone ground flour' 😂 What TF are you smoking? I lived in Europe my entire life (40+ years), in few different countries and never eaten stone ground flour. Maybe that one time when visiting a farm museum or something. Stop spreading nonsense. Ingredients are just better quality here and we have something Muricans fear the most. Food safety regulations. Mind you, we never wash eggs here and I never got salmonella.

In Italy if you see someone over 250 pounds, first you notice, then you start to pity the poor devil, then you come to the conclusion he must have some serious eating disorder. If you see two of them, it makes your day. We genuinely pity you guys
