    The BEST Mac & Cheese:
    1 lb cavatappi pasta
    2 bricks of sharp Cheese, and 1 brick of mild cheddar
    1 stick butter
    1/2 cup flour
    4 cups whole milk
    salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder to taste
    *Cook the pasta according to the box, and drain. Add butter to a large pot and melt. Add flour and brown just a bit. Add milk and mix until there are no clumps. Add shredded cheese and mix until melted. Add spices, mix, and remove from heat. Add pasta to a 13×9 and pour cheese mix over top. Sprinkle bread crumbs on top, and bake on 350 until golden brown.

  3. More than anything I need to know about those hotplates. Looks totally amazing though. And I'm in agreement on cavatappi as the ideal pasta shape for Mac and cheese! Well done.

  4. I love to use cavatappi, also! Add a little nutmeg, it complements the cheese, and a half-teaspoon of salt-free cajun seasoning. It's not spicy, but it's so good!.

  5. I hate mac and cheese when it's baked and has those bread crumbs on top. Just throw the pasta into the pot of cheese, stir, and serve.

  6. Should’ve added the Mac to the bowl of cheese and then into the baking dish. It would’ve mixed a lot better.

  7. I add one half secto of cream cheese…makes it rich and creamy…plus all sharp cheddar and I use heavy cream ..really creamy Mac n cheese…

  8. 1. Add the milk slowly whilst stirring, no lumps.
    2. Add pasta, one layer, then half the sauce, another layer of pasta, rest of sauce. Much easier mixing.
