Cycling the world – Asia: 17 episode
On my final day in Turkey I wake up in Silopi completely out of energy and unsure whether I can keep going. With my visa expiring I have no choice but to cross into Iraq even though part of me feels ready to quit the round the world project altogether. After sending my drone back home and running a few errands I enter Kurdish Iraq and reach Zakho where a Warmshowers host helps me settle in with lunch and a local sim card. The next day I ride to Duhok where a kind Canadian woman from Couchsurfing offers me a place to rest and recharge for a few days. I meet other travellers share dinners and finally take a breath after weeks of nonstop riding.

Hey Davide, don’t quit now! You’ve already come so far.
What makes us love your videos and share them is seeing more than just roads—show landmarks, local life, and the truth about countries we don’t see in the media. Keep pedaling and sharing 🚴♂
Maybe all tbe trucks are Remnants of the Iraq war?
keep going my friend.
Ciao! All the hardship in life, included during a journey like yours, can't be for nothing buddy. Your videos are natural, honest, with truely informative substance and full of valuable memories 🙂 Hope you keep going. Nevertheless, do what you believe is best for you man. Have a good one 😊
"from the land of freedom, exporting freedom everywhere" that was a great line to say in Iraq.
hope you are in better spirits by now. whatever your decision, it will be fine by me.
buona fine e buon inizio
"exporting democracy" lol, thanks for the Sunday humor Davide! Your videos are the highlight of my Sundays.
look after yourself dude, it's a hard road. The music at the end was superb, this is ancient story telling form the days of Homer !
I hope your luck has turned around after Turkey, and that you get to enjoy the New Year in less stressful circumstances. I don't know how you manage to keep going, but I'm glad that you do.
Food looks delicious. Is it expensive?
Thanks!
You could always stop. Find work somewhere. Save for a new bike replenish some funds, work on videos or just chill. Then hit the road again after a year. Get some perspective. Nothing wrong with that

Don't give up Davide!
Always looking forward to see how your endless adventure is evolving, especially when there are no plans.
Keep the wheels rolling,
Cheers from Bergamo 😉
This is kurdistan not iraq please ❤
When will you switch to pinion ?
Davide, sorry to see you so down at the beginning of the video! But glad that it seemed better towards the end. Wishing you the best, and shortly a great start into the new Year … wherever you are 🎉
When I was in Germany a couple of my Uber drivers were from Kurdistan, super cool guys. Everyone hits a wall, you have pushed farther than 99% of people capable of doing. No one can give you much advice, as we are mere mortals.😄
Great adventure.journey ~ hugs
Buon Anno Davide! Sono Raffaele 🤝
