  3. A suggestion she can try to help with your dad's sour complaint! If he can handle them, try using carrots instead of sugar. They cut the acidity of the tomatoes better and are healthier ^^

  4. I love how Asians habitually use a little sugar in savory food and are not afraid of it. I BET my butt thereโ€™s even a correlation between how often they can taste it in food and not actually going overboard with it.

  5. I like that she takes care of your food preferences. This one looks good. I looove fresh basil. It really makes things so good. It can be expensive though so I look for sales and if that happens: pasta immediately.

  6. Yummmmmmm !!! I use the same spaghetti sauce at home โค & your meal looks divine โคโคโค

  7. Italians that get made at people using noodles the way they want need to just mind there own business. Unless you claim that what is going on is Italian when itโ€™s not then that would be an issue haha ๐Ÿ˜‚

  8. It's funny that you don't want to overcook the meat ๐Ÿ˜‚ the meat is much better simmered in that sauce for a couple of hours, also simmering it for a long time on a slow flame helps with the tomato acidity (add some carrot into your sauce in case of very sour tomatoes) and the best argument for low and slow cooking is that the flavour of the sauce just can't be beat compared to a quick tomato sauce made in 30 minutes. Also some pork belly at the beginning is great instead of oil (if you have it on hand of course).

  9. Nice recipe! And I totally agree with your dad – it is necessary to add sugar to the tomato sauce. It was my nanny who cooked it sweet. Think it was Filipino style with banana sauce. Ever since I tried that version, my spaghetti must be sweet to taste normal. Lol.

  10. That looks absolutely amazingly yummy. Did Soup baby like it? Hope your parents enjoyed it too. Thanks for sharing your beautiful family with us.

  11. My grandma makes the sauce the same way but without meat I've been thinking about adding meat to mine because I have an autistic son and one of the only things he eats is spaghetti but I'm scared he won't like the change

  12. Am i the only one noticing the aluminuim foil on stove? Why? To not clean after you cook? Is that even safe ๐Ÿ˜ณ

  13. actually, I do this. I use ground beef instead and fish sauce to get the umami flavor. I use fish sauce, To the ground beef and use garlic and regular croutons, ground pepper with one egg and mix all together.
