I agree with your sentiment about Japanese food. It's probably due to their super discipline nature that they strive for doing things "perfectly", however, it didnt allow room for becoming special & unique, because everywhere we eat in Japan… they tasted standard (its good, but boring). I personally prefer thai/viet foods. I occasionally get surprises there even from a little stall on some shady street.
I LIKE TO TRAVEL TO ROME , I HOPE YOU LOOKED AROUND THE CITY IN ROME, WHAT YOU ATE I WOULD EAT TOO, ENJOY ROME.
The pizza and street food is even more yummy in Naples.

they always advise that if the gelato flavours are too colourful and not covered, you're not getting the authentic experience and quality of what is considered good gelato. The lady seemed really nice as most italians i've met which i suppose is what sells the gelato for the customers. I'm sure the flavours are good too. Good service goes a long way but just a small bit of information for those that are looking to try authentic italian gelato when travelling in italy. Some may not care too much but the italians i'm sure would say otherwise unless i am missing something 😀
