I am just starting to understand Italian wines. In general, I agree that Barolo's are better. However, when I find a good Montalcino, its a special treat. I really like this short format comparing wines
🍷Cheers Anya🍷 imo when Nebbiolo and Sangiovese are at their best.. They are the two purest, cleanest and honest varietals of wine produced. I think right now between the two. . I lean Barolo. Not to ramble on, but I have had some very well made Langhe that's as good or could rival Barolo. Thank You
Can the barrels be reused over and over, and does that effect the wine, or is there a certain number of times, then discarded.
Brunello for me. Barolo is too acidic for me.

brunello di montalcino. It makes you break out in hand gestures just by pronouncing it.
I feel like I see Barolo less often where I'm at. But I'll happily splurge on a nice Brunello to drink with my family on Christmas. Absolutely worth it. Both excellent wines
