INGREDIENTS (about 3–4 servings):
– 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined

– 4–5 cloves garlic, chopped

– 2–3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

– 3–4 tbsp butter

– Juice of 1 lemon

– 3–4 tbsp pesto (homemade or store-bought)

– 1 cup dry white wine

– 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes or chopped red chili (optional, for a little heat)

– 8–12 oz pasta (macaroni or your favorite shape)

– 1/2–1 cup reserved pasta water

– Fresh parsley, chopped

– Grated Parmesan cheese, for serving
INSTRUCTIONS:
Heat olive oil in a pan, then add chopped garlic and sauté until fragrant (don’t let it burn).
Add butter, then stir in the shrimp and cook until they turn pink on both sides.
Squeeze in lemon juice and add the pesto, stirring to coat the shrimp.
Pour in the white wine and let it simmer for a few minutes to reduce slightly.
