Brought to you by: Michael Franzese Wines

Michael Franzese is back in the kitchen with another family classic — a simple, 20-minute Pomodoro sauce anyone can make at home.
No tricks, no complicated ingredients. Just olive oil, garlic, fresh tomatoes, basil, and good pasta done the right way.

In this video, Michael breaks down the exact method he and his wife use at home, shares stories about his grandmother’s old-school cooking, talks pasta mistakes to avoid, and explains how to pair the dish with Franzese Wine’s signature Areni red.

  4. Got my wine just before Thanksgiving. Red and blackberry. Got an extra white and blackberry same day, I can only assume was because of a shipping glitch that made it show up late. Great wine from a stand up guy with a terrific team. Thank you.

  5. When I lived in Hollywood, I would eat at the Rainbow Bar & Grill ALL the time, and the only dish I loved was one that you had to ask for because it was never on the menu.. it was the "Fred's Special", and ot was exactly this same pasta dish and dam was it good. I think they finally added it in the menu these days.

  6. You CAN’T go wrong with the fruit wines!!!! I have a glass every morning…and before you freak out, I work nights. Having a glass of wine in the morning helps me relax so that I can go to sleep. I love the cherry and pomegranate so far (haven’t tried strawberry or blackberry yet).

  10. Mr Franzese, your Pomodoro Pasta is a sensation in my house, everyone that ate it loved it very much and I used both spaghetti and fettucine and everyone cleaned the plate. The guys loved your wife recipe, a fusion of Italian and Mexican culture

I hope next menu is Mexican pork dish Carnitas.

  11. luv pomodoro, I throw in fresh spinach at the end for a minute then take off the heat; cheese is my favourite parm or romano 👍🏻

  12. Yes I’m the main cook in our house, and my favorite is Italian! Then French then Mexican. But my wife makes amazing soups that’s her specialty. I can eat a pound of pasta easy! Thanks man loving this series! Ordered some of your wine thanks bro God bless.

  13. Hello! With all due respect for your ''effort'' in the kitchen and for your willingness to show us your ''soulful'' recipes, I think you're exaggerating when it comes to oil and quantities…by the way, if you love it so much and think it's so healthy, why don't you completely give up water too…in the end, be careful not to ''forget'' the main reason and subject that made this vlog successful, all the best.

  14. Michael I love this cooking video! Would love to see more. I'm Italian half Sicilian and half Calabrese. Memories of Christmas Eve and Christmas day you brought back to me. Christmas Eve was all the fishes! Great memories. Thank you for doing this video. Hopefully you will do more cooking videos. This was excellent. Our dinner for tonight!

  15. I agree with you regarding olive oil. My late mother's town in Lazio, Italy produced their own olive oil and what a difference. You are in California so I am sure you have really good olive oil available to you. Putting oil in pasta water is a waste as it just goes down the drain and is not necessary. If you stir often enough the past will not stick.
