I think the difference is for chains everything has to be pared to a budget and calorie controlled (i.e. they always have to tell you on the menu what the calories are) whereas independent places don't!
Great vlog but to be honest food average at it's best, I think the fries looked the best🎉🎉🎉.
Mate, it’s not really a comparison. Prezzo do reasonable food and you don’t have to go to London to go to Pellicis, so if you take your transport costs into account you’d spend the same money. There are loads of independent Italian restaurants about that would be a better comparison.
As i said on the Pellicci vid. They showed us that it is possible to serve good hearty food at a reasonable price. That was absolutely bonkers price wise. For meh watery food. We wont mention the "burger" and fries. Have been to one, once. And once only lol. Another great vid 👍
Bloody hell if Pellici is cheaper when that cost a fortune for a lasagne I dread to think of the cost here! 🫣
I would never pay those prices either £14 or £17 for a bloody lasagne when you can buy it at the supermarket and bang it in the oven ☹️
Nothing wrong with a McDonald’s chicken sandwich with fries but it’s priced accordingly – this burger is so overpriced 😲
That are baconbits in the cabonara and i bet its made with cream what makes it blend

RUDE LOL bit harsh Nooo the chicken milenese is lovely dont have the burger on its on its best with chips or spaghetti . Is pellicci the place were the food was crazy portions prezzos for me 😊. Forget the price use tesco vouchers lol

Been too that one really bad and dirty restaurant and short staffed! And same table as we sat at by the bar!! Should of looked up at all the dust from that light it was coming down when we was eating!!
Very interesting review there Greeno, thanks. When I think about courses I've paid £17 for over my time, that is Lasagna has to be close to the worst value by far, and when you look at that independent giving more for less, it shows that there are taking the mick. Changing subject, how long did you live in Caerphilly for Greeno, I'm from Wales and I swear I'm picking up a bit of a welsh twang now and again! 🙂

Those restaurants have ridiculous overheads.
this place is renowned for microwaving food none of it is made fresh on site yes it looks edible and not unpleasant but its a complete rip off not for me this one greeno 2.5/5 : }
No contest, obviously. I don't think you can compare the two: one is chain and the other is family run. That said, I rate Prezzo above the other Italian chains like Zizzi and Ask Italian.
Who goes to an Italian restaurant to eat a burger and fries? Or who compares food to go with a restaurant with service, plates, toilets, rent and quite different costs for cleaning, heating etc.?
Pretty pricey for what it was . .
