Yessah Fishing back to the old stomping grounds with a little kayak fishing at good ol Puhi Bay located near the hilo breakwall (Hilo Bay Big Island Hawaii). In this video I hooked up on my very first Papio GT (Young Trevally) using shrimp as bait straight off of the kayak, super stoked! Surrounded by dolphins and big blue water was definitely the first for me, regardless it was an exhilarating experience. Ended the day with a clean and cook session that was really the highlight of the evening. Hilo bay is one of many popular fishing spots on the big island, great for kayaking and if you can afford if, a little jet-ski action.
