Green Bean Casserole is THREE ingredients!
-Drained, canned green beans
-Canned cream of mushroom soup
-French fried onions on top, toasted until golden and the goop is bubbling
I LOVE brussels sprouts! I'll just cut them up raw and toss them in a salad! Bake them; boil them, roast them, grill them! I'll eat them every time. Same with broccoli.

I really enjoyed seeing the soul food bringing the happiness out. That's what it's for! And a tip with the collard greens, try eating it with the cornbread and of course adding a little candied yams to mix is always good…..hahahaha. So this was a very southern Thanksgiving. The sides vary a bit depending on location. However, I’m from the Midwest and agree, sweet potato pie is better than pumpkin pie.

The one with the marshmallows is a sweet potato soufflé. Candied yams never have marshmallows and are started with peeled and sliced sweet potatoes. Why are the pecan pie and sweet potato pies so dark?

Everyone at Thanksgiving n the south brings a casserole.
No never had brussel sprouts green bean casserole or marshmallows on yams everyone does it differently it’s your family traditions . Pies cheese cake and apple pies pumpkin pecan and cherry pies cakes family tradition . I know some families don’t like turkey so a roast or ham some have all . Stop with this is we are not all the same .
