How To Use A French Press

merci
cool
I guess im not using enough coffee lol mine comes out like tea colored i need my coffee BLLLAAAACCCCKKKKK
But how much water?????
Can you buy coarse coffee ? I already had to buy the press. A kettle. So essentially I'm ditching one appliance. The black and stainless steel coffee maker and now I need all of this just to have a normal cup of coffee without the micro plastics. Without the black plastic cancerous materials
I dont have a grinder so i just used the whole beans and now i have very light brown water which im pretending is delicious
I love how it looks too however i wish i had more money for a coffee grinder and most of all i wish i had a sense of smell
How do you know how much water to add
So when I started using a french press my mother didnt like that I left the coffee coarse, she was upset that she saw half broken beans and whatnot in there. I kept telling her that is how its suppose to look when using it. So for the longest time Ive been grinding them into powder, which I believe has been burning my beans in the process.
I always made it with cold water and let it sit overnight
Who the heck downvoted this?? Awesome video!
Coffee to water ratio?
I love how you simplified the instructions 😊
Thank you Tina Belcher ❤😂
After using a number of different brewing methods, I settled on the French Press as the optimum method for my taste. I use a stainless steel, thermos style press and it's awesome!.
Thanks so much! Especially for the tip about pressing down slowly, and being careful of the pressure. I just bought myself a French press for the first time because I was tired of terrible tasting coffee. I can't wait to try it in the morning! ✌️
I use my drip coffee maker for tea only. No coffee flavor in the basket and the warmer plate keeps my tea warm all day. The French press makes me one cup (my limit) of coffee quickly, in time for me to eat it with my toast.
Thank you
I am NOT a coffee person. But, I need to stay awake. I tried a percolator and YUK! The new French press makes my taste buds so happy. 🙂
Great video thank you
What size of French press is that?
Whats the difference between this and just filtering the coffee?
Thank you. I love how simple and to the point this video is
Grizzly claw is a good coffee
From the video … "Baratza Encore, which we think is a great entry level electric grinder. You can find it linked in the description below"
No Link.
How much water
Can this be used with tea? Or does tea stain the metal compared to coffee?
Thank you for the video! Super easy and informative
I liked this video, except for the fact that he didn’t really say how much water he was using to how much coffee he used.
Does anyone have any suggestions on which coffee to buy that is already ground down, please?
Until I buy the grinder I will be practicing with what I have so then when I do begin grinding my own coffee beans I can transform my life and begin living happily. 🤭😋✌️ Thank you
Thanks baby!
I notice that the plunger doesn't go down to the bottom. Why not?
I just found one of those same style French Press unit's yesterday at the Goodwill in Flagstaff for $6. Bodum! It says Starbucks on the frame. So I came here to learn how to use it and voila! Same unit! But I bought it to strain and filter botanical extracts.
This was easy to understand. I learned about steeping times for dark and light roast, thank you. 😊
When do you plundge it ? After few mins or immediately
Gosh…and I've been doing it so wrong😂
Thank you so much! Very informative. And now my Pumpkin Spice Starbucks mixed with some extra dark tastes mighty magnificent.
so i used my press for the first time today. Apperently its also the first time ive ever made coffee prperly, because i descoverd i do NOT like coffee. I like coffee flavored water. (I drink it black when fasting. aka today.)
He makes it actually more complicated than it is …sorry just giving it straight.
you can use boiling water if you drop an ice cube just before or after pressing
ty great instructions
there's gritty sludge in every cup regardless
Wow, thank you. Will purchase asap 🎯
I finally caved and bought a French press so I can save money by making coffee at home, I found one for super cheap £9 🔥🔥🔥 + with the beans I bought I only need to make 2 cups to break even. This is going to be huge. Honestly the only reason I didn’t get one sooner is bc I have no idea how to use one, but then I remembered that’s what YouTube is for 🙏🙏🙏 wish me luck gang
