What a joy it is to discover a hidden gem — and that’s exactly what Ciasa Mia is!

I thought I was going to a classic Italian restaurant — not at all!

You step into a setting straight out of a chalet in the Dolomites, that stunning mountainous region of Italy near Tyrol.
But this isn’t just regional cuisine — it’s fine dining.

You realize it immediately with the stunning amuse-bouche: a fluffy yellow bread! ❤️

Or the unclassifiable cumin cappuccino with milk foam, full of character.

Or the indulgent little tart hiding a polenta that looks like onion purée ❤️

The Italian touch shines in the mandatory pasta dish — but here, it’s a beautiful two-colored assembly covering a delicious lamb ragout.

The fish is a delicate Arctic char, typical of mountain lakes, served with a bold spiced potato gratin.

I couldn’t resist the regional cheese board — and I learned they’re aged in a former bunker!

A variety of unique flavors ❤️, like the “Sissi,” named after the Empress because it’s both gentle and powerful 😉

You end on a soft, sweet note with a lovely yogurt mousse over a buckwheat butter cream, sweetened with a fragrant fir tree syrup! ❤️

All of this paired with wines from the region — yes, even in the mountains, they make excellent wines at up to 1200 meters in altitude.

What a wonderful discovery!
