Celestyal Journey is the newest addition to the Celestyal Cruises fleet, launched in 2023 after an extensive $20 million refurbishment. This mid-sized ship carries 1,260 guests in 630 cabins, including 149 balcony suites, and is designed to offer an intimate yet modern cruise experience.
Sailing the Greek Islands, Eastern Mediterranean, and Arabian Gulf, Celestyal Journey provides access to both iconic ports like Mykonos, Santorini, and Kusadasi, as well as hidden gems and cultural treasures in Cyprus, Egypt, Israel, Oman, and beyond. Its boutique size allows entry into destinations larger ships cannot reach, making every itinerary more immersive and authentic.
Onboard, guests enjoy seven diverse restaurants serving Mediterranean, Asian, and international cuisine, alongside a steakhouse and buffet. The ship also features eight stylish bars and lounges, two pools, Jacuzzis, and the relaxing Sozo Health Spa. Entertainment ranges from live shows in the amphitheatre to cooking classes, dance lessons, and cultural workshops.
With award-winning Greek hospitality, all-inclusive value, and destination-focused itineraries, the Celestyal Journey offers a perfect balance of comfort, culture, and discovery. It’s the ideal choice for travellers seeking an enriching, unforgettable voyage across some of the world’s most historic and breathtaking regions.
We are Tom and Dom and we experienced our first cruise on the MSC Virtuosa during her UK staycation cruises in 2021.Our mission is provide a fair and balanced review of our travels.
We look at the types of food that is available onboard, from main dining rooms, room service, buffets and pool side snacks. We include menus for each of cruises so that we can share the selection of drinks and meals that are available. Entertainment onboard a cruise ship is important to us and we enjoy theatre production shows, live music, quizzes and game shows. We love to explore different ports and destinations and enjoy sharing tips and tricks so that you can make the most of each port. We often explore ports independently but also book excursions that are interesting to us.

Loved this entire series, finding anything Celestyal takes a bit of work so this has been welcome. Many of the shots in this video appear to indicate some ship movement, did you find ocean conditions translate back into the ship due to it's smaller size? Curious what to expect, this would be the smallest ship we've ever sailed by a long shot!
Looks like a great ship for her age! I think my grand parents were on her when she was the Ryndam under Holland America. Looks like you had an awesome time, Greek Isles are high on my list.
