A new wave of tariffs could cause many Italian pastas to disappear from grocery shelves. A report from the Wall Street Journal details the Trump administration’s plan to impose duties of 107% on Italian pasta imports. Almost all pasta consumed in the US is produced in the US. I think alot of you really think the pasta you buy at the grocery stores is imported but its not. This issue is a non started for almost all the pasta sold in the US

I don't think this will make much a difference on average Americans. Only the bronze cut pastas will be affected. If you're currently paying $3-4 a box for bronze cut imports, I don't think $5-7 will bit a hit for those consumers after tariffs. Remember a 107% import tariff doesn't mean 107% increase at the store.
My limit on a box of bronze cut Italian pasta is about $5-6. I'd buy American made bronze cut if they made them in mass market but unfortunately American pasta makers don't. They just focus on low cost and not quality.
