People who lived in Soviet Union know what Socialism was. It was the great system for Majority of the people. More than 50% population in Soviet Union lived much better than today in the same countries. Unfortunately, Reagan bribed Gorbachev to destroy the country. It took more than 5 years to Gorbachev to decimate the country. The reason why mamdani got in was because people were bragging about voting five or six times the same person that’s how he got in as mayor cheating.
The problem here by people who are arguing that no party should be able to shut government down showdowns a lack of how government works. The government, the houses of Congress, vote on bills. The Democrat Party decided to vote against a continuing resolution bill to keep the government running along. That means voting for money to be authorised to keep government operations open. Saying it should be illegal to shut government are saying it should be illegal to vote in Congress. I hope people can see the difference. I dont like that Government is closed down. But I don't know how to stop it happening.
Gas prices in blue states like mine, Washington State, have some of the highest gas prices in the country. Here in eastern Washington State it's right about $3.69. I'm glad I live so close to ID so I can go pay right about that or less for premium. My truck likes mid grade which I paid $3.29 for at Stateline, ID the other day. I heard from my buddy in Texas paying just over $2/gal.
