We have a special guest today, our good friend Arena Tisdell. We discuss our origin story, meeting when the boys Austin and Ben were in provincials. We connected during a little hockey trip to Europe, visiting Czechoslovakia, Italy, Vienna, Austria, and Germany. We remember that one restaurant with the flogging ladies!

Rapid fire questions: Deserted island albums? Supertramp, The Beatles Blue Album, Pink Floyd. Kirk would take sirloin steak and chocolate cake, and Aerosmith Pump.

Alternative career: Kirk would be in construction or landscaping, operating equipment. Arayna would be a forensic scientist, paying attention to details and solving crimes.

Lottery purchase: F-150 Super Snake truck or a personal chef/Sleep Number bed.

Conspiracy theories: Questioning the moon landing (why is the flag blowing?) versus believing in evolution and survival of the fittest.

Time travel: Back to the 60s/poodle skirts or the early 80s for simpler times—no cell phones, just living freely.

Theme song: “Firework” by Katy Perry or “Crying” by Aerosmith.

Food to eat daily: Costco Tuxedo Cake or spaghetti.

Ideal night: Hanging out with friends vs. watching a show like Landman or Yellowstone. Kirk’s new rule is “When in doubt, go out” to fight his natural introvert tendency.

Describing ourselves: Consistent, caring, driven, empathetic, and sometimes having an addictive personality. Craziest thing done: Skydiving versus walking on fire.

Walper Wisdom: Control the things that you can control because external events like the federal budget will always cause people to lose it. Life goes on. Don’t let the rest be a distraction.

Arayna’s Wisdom: The only way out is through. Work through a situation, one day at a time. Over under around or through, whatever it takes.

End of Year Goals: Kirk sets goals in October/November (November 15th is the Royal LePage year end). Discussing resolutions, vision board bingo cards, and business sales goals going into the new year. A players excel in times of great despair and pain.
