  1. Thats so cute! Im craving triamisu now! I would definitely recommend what my Italian grandmother dubbed "milo-misu", she made it with us the last time we saw her AND IT WAS DELICIOUS (she also made a "real one" which was also obviously delicious). Instead of coffee you dip the biscotti in mixed up milo and milk (or hot chocolate powder and milk) and then make the tiramisu like normal then you sprinkle the chocolate powder over the top before you put it in the fridge. I mean normal triamisu is already heaven sent, (especially when it made by Italians) so put that with milo and… It was seriously soooo good!!!!!!!!!

  2. I think you should find a better strategy for pouring the vanilla extract bc that's a tragedy waiting to happen 😅

    As always lovely 🎉

  3. Oh wait we might share an exact birthday or close to it if he turned 25 within the last 5 days 🤣 November birthdays gotta wait all year to have a birthday smh 😔 (I hope his birthday goes well or went well)

  4. You are so sweet and a great partner. Really Thank you for the idea!
My husband is basically IMPOSSIBLE to find gifts for. He wants almost nothing and if he really want anything he either gets it or it is 10000 of $ and that is why he does not have it. But he really enjoy home made Apple pie. Since I am disabled it is a real treat cause cooking or baking cost me a lot of spoons. I think he will enjoy it. 🌸🌻💐🌼🌹❤️

  5. this is so cute 🥹 might need to steal the idea for my bf! i know you said you already have the recipes planned, but i gotta recommend red currant bakery’s dirty chai tiramisu cake omggggg i just made it for my sister’s bday last month and it was INCREDIBLE

  6. He loved it bc YOU made it 🥺 wine or no wine it was perfect bc you dedicated love and time to it 💕🫂🫂 happy birthday to him and I wish you both nothing but the best ^^

  7. Thaaats wild of u tbh, i would NEVER put myself in the danger of making tiramisu for my italian partner 😭 Thats real love right there, respect lmao

  8. Random italian here! My family never put marsala wine on it so looks pure as snow to me. Is he cool with having variations? Id want the boring classic 12 times myself 😂

  9. As an italian myself you did great. That looked like an og recipe. One thing I don't usually use marsala but any alcohol on hand. Bailey's, Rhum, Brandy whatever alcohol we have on hand that isn't vodka.
Edit: to make a long story short my mom's Ukrainian and her friends are the ones who bring in the vodka when they visit from Ukraine. Nobody ever drinks it really and I can't use the cognac we have because my granddad gave it to us before passing.
Edit two: here's how I personally make it as an italian that everyone loves. Separate yolks from whites, spread the sugar in half between the two bowls and beat both until one is fluffy and the other so firm you can flip the bowl and it won't fall. Add the cheese to the yolk side, mix, then add the whites folding them slowly as to not break them. Add liquor to taste. Add a layer of last fingers first by dipping them as fast as possible in coffee. Any kind works: moka pot coffee, nespresso pod coffee it doesn't matter. Just do it fast as these cookies disintegrate fast. Add cream, add cookies until you end on a layer of cream and then add the cocoa. I think you did exactly that so you've got my approval.

  10. around 6-7 years ago I made matcha tiramisu for my boyfriend (his favorite dessert as well) and it came out so well. just made him a heart shaped brownie tiramisu for his birthday this past month too!

  11. Oh hell yeah! I highly recommend using NYT recipe as well as it is awesome (use wayback machine). Also! I've made tiramisu quite a few times and one of my favorites is putting sliced strawberries in between the layers, as well as using the traditional coffee alcohol mix and a separate tequila rose to dip half of the lady fingers into it! It's perfection 💙🩷🤍

  12. OH MY GOD WHWRE DID YOU GET THAT SHIRT??? THATS SUCH A OLD VKEI ROCK BAND “GIRUGAMESH”THAT IVE NEVER SEEN ANYONE TALK ABOUT??? WAS THAT THRIFTED OR ACTUALLY BOUGHT?? THAT IS SO AWESOME!!

  13. Hii!Italian here ❤ I recommend to try dipping the lady fingers in the espresso (hot espresso is better..wait for it to cool down a bit, don’t burn yourself) for around 5-10 seconds on each side (flavor) and for you to refrigerate the tiramisu without the cocoa powder overnight. Also, instead of putting the cocoa powder on as soon as you’re done with the lady fingers, marscapone (etc..) put the cocoa powder on 15 minutes before serving. Please don’t take this the wrong way, you did an amazing job here especially considering this is your first time making tiramisu🫶🏻!!

  14. Aaaaah. Do a raspberry/strawberry tiramisu. An Italian place around the corner from me had this as a alcohol free summer kids version. And it's still up to today my favourite. (Yes they're italiens, yes I'm European and yes I love any kind of tiramisu. Just give it to me)
