Today I’m finally trying Mad Italian in Lahore — a restaurant my Lahori friends have been obsessively recommending to me for months. Their Instagram is full of gorgeous, glossy shots of pasta and pizza, so of course I had to see for myself whether the hype is real.

Pretty generous rating for a real mediocre restaurant. They only know how to do Al dente pasta in emulsified sauces. That’s it! Nothing Italian about the space nor the pizza or desserts. Don’t even dare to have their olive oil gelato. They will drizzle olive oil over a scoop of apparently HICO icecream
