Italian artist Maurizio Cattelan will be auctioning off his 18-karat gold functioning toilet at Sotheby’s in New York City on Tuesday, November 18. The artist is known for his viral duct-taped banana art that sold for $6.2 million in November of 2024. The buyer was crypto founder Justin Sun, who ended up eating the banana.
