Welcome to the Valtellina! Sondrio is a lovely little town. I live down the bottom of the valley, between the lakes, but I can ride up to Sondrio using the Sentiero Valtellina, which runs along the river Adda right up to the top of the valley and connects to various mountain trails along the way. This means that you can do nice rides, safely, off the roads and away from the Italian drivers… Have a lovely stay here up in the mountains!!
