I own this same oven. If you aren't cooking thin crust pizza, then you need to turn down the temperature for thicker crust and/or deep dish. If you don't, then the bottom will cook faster than the top and dry out.
The directions on the pizza box assume you have normal residential oven. Not a high heat electric oven for fast cooking.
Did you remove my earlier comment? I was getting a bunch of youtube notifications on it, but I went to check I can't find it anymore. YouTube says it's gone.
I wasn't even disrespectful to you. I was telling you about known issues with electric ovens like Ooni, and cooking different types of pizza with it. If you did delete my comment then I'm very disappointed you are so heavy handed with controlling the comments of your channel.
Hmmm… maybe they did change the recipe. Last one I tried had a nice, chewy crust reminiscent of focaccia bread. We just had the cheese breadsticks last weekend and they were a bigger hit than the main course.
You overcooked it, dude. Tried Motor City for the first time, myself a couple weeks ago and the crust was perfect. Had that buttery, crispy crunch, toppings were decent (though not especially outstanding from other frozen pizzas). FYI my crust came out a golden brown; yours was definitely on the darker side.
I bought these for awhile when they were first released, and the quality difference is night and day. It was a lot like a real Detroit pie. Now they've cheaped out and ruined a great product. Noticed the change about 2 years ago.
The first time I tried Motor City was during the Pandemic, and I fell in LOVE with it. I took a break from it for a bit as I didnโt want to get sick of it.
I standby what people say and saying that itโs not what it used to be and itโs NOT. I know it tastes different, and my family says so as well.
Ive tried it twice, cooking in a smaller oven/air fryer and had similar results, cooked it in an actual oven and took it out maybe 3 mins early and it was a whole different crust consistency still "bready" but not dry
While it's NOT "Detroit Style" pizza, I was wholly unimpressed with the first one I made. For the second one I took it out of the tray and added a bunch of olive oil under it before cooking, which was a substantial improvement
I have to say this is the only frozen pizza I consistently enjoy. I do think with all of these style, a little bit of avacado oil in the tray really livens up the dough and gives the true fried crunch.
I think 7.1 is overly generous. A friend of mine recommended it and I tried the same 2-pack from Costco a while back. It needs way more sauce and pepperoni. 6.5. I live in MN, and I get the Heggies 2-pack sausage and pepperoni. If you know you know.

Itโs been a while since I had this and I loved it but after seeing this video I have to admit it looks a lot thinner.
I've tried that pizza before. It's pretty good but i wouldn't say it's anything special. Fair rating imo
Never trust a pastor! j/s
Oh yeah my local Walmart used to have these but stopped carrying them a couple years ago. I also like the cheese sticks if they cooked correctly
I always cook mine 5 minutes longer than the instructions tell you to.
Oh no. Pastor and churches. Unsubbed.

This pizza in 2018 was fire. Those days are long gone.
My favorite Costco's pizza. Not overrated at all.
a good reviewer sticks to their opinion despite outside opinion, that makes you a good reviewer.
These are the best frozen pizzas I've ever had.

Iโve been eating the Uno personal pan, really good crust
I tried that pizza about 18 months ago and still recall the disappointment. 7.1 is generous I'd give it a 6.0.

my favorite frozen pizza the best frozen pizza out there. What I do is melt two or three tbsp of butter and put it at the bottom of the pie then bake.
I agree 100% it's so overrated.
IT NEEDS MORE SAUCE ON IT! The crust was the best part and I had to add more Pepperoni to it!
you need to try a Buddy's detriot frozen. way better than motor city.
Hit it with the broiler at least.

Home run inn is the best frozen pizza !
Way to keep posting! Count uploads not likes as one Mr. Pat Flynn over @deeppocketmonster would say

I think its your oven man, its so soft when i make it in my regular oven
Ive tried it twice, cooking in a smaller oven/air fryer and had similar results, cooked it in an actual oven and took it out maybe 3 mins early and it was a whole different crust consistency still "bready" but not dry
u have a broken DIC
The dry crust is the cook. Cook it in a regular oven and pull it a few min early and let rest.

It has a pizza hut taste just expensive
My experience mirrors yours. Everyone I know raves about it but I find the crust is arid,
