  1. just bc your son didn’t like the pasta doesn’t mean there’s anything wrong with it. sugar absolutely does go in pasta sauce to help cut some acidity from the tomato. an orange sauce for example would be sweeter than a red sauce. but yes your poor “baby” had to dislike one meal, the horrors. i’m sure hungry kids everywhere would love a pasta even if it was sweet, sorry if it’s not good enough for your entitled baby

  2. Its nice that you contribute but please you dont have to throw shade at another parents food. Be nice .

  3. Yes italians put sugar in the sauce if its canned or bottled because those tomatoes arent high quality and acidity levels are high.

Most make it fresh with high-quality ingredients. Most of us also use fresh pasta.

  4. Shallow pan fry or in the sauce is the only way to cook meatballs and It’s not veal and pork combo. Just because you say you’re Italian does not mean you know how it cook.

  5. Ur Italian and you didn’t roll the meatballs what kind of nonsense is this lol 😂😂😂

  6. Love this looks delicious I don’t put sugar in my sauce ever we went to Italy 🇮🇹 and the food is totally different than here we had veal meatballs and spaghetti even the noodles and sauce are different ❤❤❤❤❤❤

  7. Maybe you should teach your son to be grateful for someone else's home cooking, too. Couldn't enjoy his meal? Pffft poor role model.

  8. I remember those football dinners. The amount of food those high school football players could eat was astonishing!!! My son would come home from school and eat a half pound of deli roast beef on a sandwich before eating supper and dessert. You are a momma who shows up, and that is awesome!!!! Enjoy this time. My baby is 45 now, and I miss those fun times. He is still funny and still loves my cooking, though!!!!

  9. An an Italian hallelujah I found another Italian who doesn’t put sugar in in their pasta sauce or meatballs. If I wanted sugar, I buy a crappy sauce like Ragu.

  10. Nothing beats homemade sauce my wonderful other half makes a sauce that makes me not eat any sauce but hers

  11. Forget about the Italian dish tasting sweet! A person actually cooked for the kids and you’re complaining? Shame on you ❤

  12. You don’t have to talk down on the other parents pasta, To make yourself feel good. If you’re food is as good as you say it is, Let that do the talking for you.

  13. Must be nice to have a mother that knows how to cook good. I was basically starving when I was a child just eating enough to survive.

  14. My nonna always says to add a pinch of sugar to cut the acid🤣🇮🇹 not sure there was any Italians who didnt put sugar in their tomato sauce.

  15. 68 meatballs! I made 323 meatballs 10 trays of lasagna and two trays of baked ziti for my daughters wedding. Those numbers never leave my mind! She just celebrated 31st anniversary! I have not made it since!!

  16. Next time throw some fresh parsley in it my dad makes it like that and let me tell you I’ve never had a better meatball

  17. 8 meatballs to feed your husband and other son is crazy work…. I’d be grabbing McDonald’s😂 poor guy… no way I’d get remotely full off that shit not even if I ate all 8 on 2 sandwiches and I’m not a big dude (6’2 185lbs)

  18. I got this meatball maker it's like a silicone sheet pan molded to the shape of meat balls you just press it in there pop in freezer for like 30 min and they press out perfectly they are octogon shaped so each edge gets a perfect brown sear time saving
