🚩 In the summer of 101 BC, the Roman Republic stood on the brink of another defining confrontation. The threat from the north had not yet been extinguished, as the Teutones’ defeat at Aqua Sextiae left their allies, the Cimbri, still a formidable force. These northern warriors, hardened by years of wandering and conquest, had regrouped in the plains of northern Italy, where they posed a dire challenge to Rome’s survival.
Consuls Gaius Marius and Quintus Lutatius Catulus now commanded the combined might of Rome’s reformed legions. The Senate had granted them extraordinary powers, knowing that a single failure could open the way for barbarian devastation across the Italian heartland.
For Marius, the stakes were deeply personal. His military reforms and hard-won reputation would be tested one final time.

That was very good, congrats.

A YouTube channel can create a video on the earth’s age and biblical creation by starting with the authority of God’s Word. The Bible’s genealogies in Genesis 5 and 11, combined with historical events, show about 2,000 years from Adam to Abraham, 2,000 years from Abraham to Christ, and about 2,000 years since Christ—totaling roughly 6,000 years. The video should explain that secular dating methods rely on assumptions and reject God’s eyewitness account. It can highlight evidence from geology and the fossil record that supports a young earth and the global Flood, challenging evolutionary claims of millions of years
Caesar's father also julius Caesar, was sent to Rome by Marius to announce the victory at Vercellae. Marius would marry his father's sister, Julia. When Julia died, Caesar presided over the funeral and took the risky decision to celebrate the life of Marius as well.
When the rear guard shows up at the doorstep of Catulus the next morning. "dont tell me you beat them!"

Hello, please take an interest in the great Battle of Fuengirola in 1810 year. This is a heroic battle of 400 Poles against several thousand British and Spanish, ending with an unprecedented victory for the Poles … Thank you!

That’s the fault of the Gauls for not attacking when the Romans were in a narrow path. It’s easy to say from an armchair.

So what happened to Boiorix?
I love your videos. Thanks for bringing history to life
So frustrating that Boiorix was smart enough to raise river level but not smart enough to use his cavalry effectively.
He should have used them to overwhelm the cavalry on the roman flanks while his infantry faced the legions. Boiorix's cavalry should then have overrun the flanks and from there attack the rear of the legions. I shook my head as they retreated because even then they still outnumbered them.
Pls do reconquista in asturias
Is it the last part of the Cimbrian war?
Even 200,000 army size is such a stupid exaggeration! With food production, perseveration, medicine technologies of the time such a large army was downright impossible. They would lose hundreds of men every single day. Even during WW2 diseases was a major problem, it isn't that cheap as collecting men and marching somewhere. Only people who could properly do it was Nomads like Mongols or Turks. It was because they were carrying tent houses with them called oba and thousands of thousands animals to carry them and their supplies. In early Seljuk history every Seljuk army had at least 3 times larger group travelling behind them, it was families of Turkish soldiers. This is a poorly recorded battle without any question, many parts don't make sense like a king ordering charges with zero tactic despite using advanced military tactics before like building dams. I wouldn't be surprised if Cimbri force was actually similarly sized as Roman force..
❤
I enjoyed your video and I gave it a Thumbs Up
Wow! I have never heard of this battle but both sides used some good tactics.
The moment I saw how that wagon train was being set up I pretty much guessed how this battle was going to end.
Boudica 2 anyone?
Barbarians for a reason…I mean what the hell was that? no tactics? no plans? no strategies? Just charge your elite cavalry, wait for them to get slaugtered, and then advance the iniftry. Very barbaric indeed.
