On October 5-6, Navy Pier became the stage for Italian wine excellence as the Vinitaly International Academy (VIA) brought the 33nd edition of its Italian Wine Ambassador certification course to Chicago during Vinitaly.USA.
Across two intense days of tastings, lectures, and deep dives into Italy’s native grapes and biodiversity, 20 candidates from 10 U.S. states rose to the challenge. After a demanding final exam, six participants earned the title of Italian Wine Ambassador, including one who reconfirmed their certification, joining the global VIA community of more than 464 certified Ambassadors and 22 Experts worldwide.
