When it comes to the oldest Italian restaurant in America there are a few contenders. Another contender for first Italian restaurant in America is a spot in Philadelphia, but many people consider Fior d’Italia in San Francisco to be the oldest. And Fior d’Italia the oldest Italian restaurant in the USA, is still very well-reviewed today and has been around since 1886. It’s been around for almost 140 years!
Just because it’s historical though does not mean it’s the best. But I am excited to always try historical restaurants in America and the oldest restaurants in America. Because of how much Italian American food has influenced American food, it’ll be really interesting to see what the oldest Italian restaurant in the country potentially is like, and to see if it still resembles Italian American food today, or if it resembles more Italian food today. Or Italian food from a bygone era, so neither authentic food in Italy, or authentic Italian American food today!

Ravioli stuffed with veal with Bolognese sauce sounds great
It takes gnocchi 2 minutes to cook anything longer it's mashed potatoes
I dont know if he is enjoying it or about to barf it out of sheer disgust. This is not a racist comment. I have seen Asians enjoying food before.
I absolutely love that you're still passionate about what you do. I could really tell that you loved that one and weren't willing to compromise on the gnocchi!! Kudos to you brother on the honest reviews!!!!
They're soft because they're most likely bought gnocchi , not homemade , you're right , they do suck and remember that Italian restaurants in the US are not genuine Italian.
I totally agree. His face doesn’t show appreciation when it tastes good.
In a short time you have become my favorite food youtuber. Please keep up the great work!
I have a really hard time believing that on the West coast a first Italian restaurant when the waves were coming into NY and NJ
Always love your VLOGS. Wish Tina was a bit more outgoing and would join you when possible.
gnocchi is supposed to be like that
No question that gnocchi was hanging under the heat lamp for a while. The sauce was coagulated and the dumplings were over cooked from the residual heat from sitting under the lamp.
14:08 the UA “Oh” face making an appearance. That’s what she said.
Why do you make faces like you hate everything you eat?
When you go back to SF hit up Swan Oyster Depot. A must. A classic.
You SHOULD have returned the gnocchi the moment it wasn’t acceptable. Returning bad food is part of your job as a food reviewer.
That Gnocchi was grotesque looking. I wouldn't have even bothered trying it.
UA, traditional well made Gnocchi should be soft as a pillow. If it is made with too much flour it can make them dense, “chewy” and heavy.
Minestrone is a soup made with seasonal vegetables and what is available. So it and its ingredients can vary from region to region and depending on the time of year. Peas are not a must.
Thats pre cook pasta not original at all
@UA Eats, You need to visit the oldest Chinese restaurant in the USA, The Pekin Noodle Parlor in Butte, Montana!
"in Italy you waited an hour…at least 30 minutes" which was it douchebag, an hour or 30 minutes?
Steak of some sort AGAIN ..Mr Predictable strikes once more LOL
Looks like the gnocchi was a store bought frozen item. Then heated in a microwave.
