Italian Spiced Cheese Paratha | Cheese Burst Paratha with Mozzarella Cheese | Ami’s Cooking

Paratha is a classic Indian bread that is served with pretty much any Indian curry. There are dozens of variations for paratha where the variations are fused with spices and/or vegetables. This recipe is a variation recipe on the classic paratha where the inside is filled with mozzarella cheese and a blend of Italian spices to make a tasty Indian bread that works well on its own or with a curry.

Cheese Paratha Ingredients:
1 Cup All Purpose Flour
1 Cup Wheat Chapati Flour
Salt to Taste
1/4 Cup Oil + extra for cooking
2 Cups Mozzarella Cheese
1/4 Teaspoon Oregano Leaves
Chilli Flakes to Taste
1/4 Teaspoon Parsley
1/4 Teaspoon Onion Powder
1/4 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
Black Pepper to Taste

Cheese Paratha Directions:
1. Combine 1 cup all purpose flour, 1 cup wheat chapati flour, salt to taste, and 1/4 cup oil.
2. Form a soft dough by using a total of 2 cups of water and mixing the ingredients.
3. After forming the soft dough, sprinkle a little water on top of it. Cover the dough and let it sit for 20 minutes.
4. After 20 minutes, sprinkle 1/4 teaspoon oil. Knead the dough for 5 minutes. Divide it into small parts. Grease a plate and hands. make balls out of the small parts.
5. To season the 2 cups of mozzarella cheese, use 1/4 teaspoon oregano leaves, chilli flakes to taste, 1/4 teaspoon parsley, 1/4 teaspoon onion powder, 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder, and black pepper to taste. Mix thoroughly.
6. Flatten one of the dough balls. Stuff with the cheese mixture. Join edges and make a ball. The dough should completely cover the cheese so that it does not leak out while cooking.
7. Press down on the ball to flatten it. Roll on the sides of the paratha lightly until it forms a thin disc.
8. Turn on the pan to medium flame. Put the paratha on the pan and let it cook for about 2 minutes. Sprinkle 1/4 teaspoon oil and flip sides. After that side is cooked, sprinkle 1/4 teaspoon oil on the top of the paratha and flip again. Cook the paratha until that side is cooked.
