Are you dreaming of a life in Italy? Would you buy a vinyard? What an amazing lifestyle that would be. I take a day out from my countryside renovation to visit a family run vineyard in Le Marche and learn how they make great wine.
A change in plans meant I left Italy unexpectedly, which pushed back my plans on the renovation for a few weeks. Time away has helped reflect on the tasks ahead of me and the best way to tackle the work through this coming winter. I share some of these plans and update you all on what I have been doing that has kept me busy!
Thank you all for watching and for to those booking 1:1 video calls. Your generous wine gifts are being putto great use – I share those plans also.Cheers all,
See you in Italy soon!Richard.

Greetings from me on the Treasure Coast of Florida. Good to see you
one third of a mower blade, or the entire scythe… Italy has some wonderful scythe blades, and scything is yoga and exercise and relaxation, silent, friendly for air and environment and with a bit of practice as fast as a mower… No criticism, just saying, for what it is worth. Great video as always, and ramble on!
Beautiful…. utterly beautiful place.
At least you didn't get a slap from someone….
Best way to make a small fortune in wine is to start with a large one. 😅 The value generally is in the land. If it’s multi-generational then it’s a different story
Nice to see you enjoying yourself …. all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy and you could never be accused of that
no morerojnds with Bruno!😅
Loved the winery….the black eye? So you had a few vino and fell onto a spade lol ..worth the trip I think 😊
Cheers ❤
Don't cut the grass too low
The sun will burn and kill the roots
Let it over grow and only cut down to 3 inches so it can build strong root system leave the clippings make sure to keep damp until established.i through my coffee grinds to help too.
Great to c u back even with hair dye 😅
On the tree subject. You’re best off planting saplings. They will root really well and catch up to the more mature ones. The issue is the mature ones growing with restricted space for their root balls.
As someone who has a small vineyard of their own already and has spent many many hours volunteering work at commercial vineyards near me, heck no I wouldn't buy one that big! But I would love to sit at the villa on the high ground, overlook the lovely rows of delicious wine in the making, enjoy the amazing scenery, and eat, drink, and be merry! Thanks for another enjoyable episode.
AMAZING !! You found a vineyard in Italy , next week try finding an Olive tree!!! I guess you're into the low hanging fruit videos stage. Tune in next month folks and watch Richard find a pile of stones in the yard !
Envy is a bad thing but oh my God you’re lucky!
😊
i bet that vineyard has a small old tractor you could borrow with a scoop on it to move rocks. you should ask them nicely to borrow it. you'll pay the gas and take good care of it!
its called a brush hog. they are great
Hi Rich great vid again 👍I wouldn't bother buying a new machine for the grass, just stick the strimmer head back on your strimmer and strim the long grass. You'll sav a fortune haha Looking forward to the next one 👍
You need to get yourself proper grass cutting equipment.
Thank you, what a fabulous look behind the scenes, most people never get to experience. It adds a whole extra layer of appreciation to the wine when you drink it.
And no judgement for you “tasting” wine at 9.30 btw, if anything I’m a touch jealous 🤣🤣
THIS IS PLACE NOT FOR SALE.
Someone had too much wine that day. 😂
Great Vid Richard, love the vineyard part. If you can afford it you might want to look into a zero-turn mower sometimes just called a Z turn, very popular in the States. Cheers and enjoy your wine
If I make a large enough donation for a tree, and maybe if others do too, do you think its possible you put a plaque with our name on so a little bit of us is in Le Marche too?
stunning vineyard
No I wouldn't buy a vineyard that big, but I do like wine and I would love to have my own small vineyard to make a few hundred liters of wine for personal consumption like my grandparents used to do.
Great vid rich
What a way to start the weekend! Thank you, Richard 🍾
Buongiorno Richard, I'm so jealous!
I know I've said before you're livening the dream, but you have just taken it to another level!
Omg how beautiful it wouldn’t be like going to work and I can totally understand when your back in the uk that your climbing the wall to get back to Italy
Man… looks like Central California
Always wonder when you were going to start your own vineyard. Nice vid. Sound bouncing around at the edit desk – radio mic will clean up the echo.
What a wonderful, wonderful place
Ciao Richard! Abito ad Agugliano ( 45 minuti da Corinaldo. Confermo che il Verdicchio della cantina Mattioli è eccellente. Se ti piace il verdicchio prova ad andare nelle cantine intorno Staffolo. Non rimarrai deluso! Saluti!!
Beautiful place
