Avgoustiatis:
A rare indigeneous red grape variety called Avgoustiatis (named after the month of its harvest, August or ‘Avgoustos’ in Greek) that grows in our vineyards. Our Avgoustiatis comes in a very limited production of ca. 1300 bottles, following careful single varietal winemaking, resulting in a dry red wine with deep ruby color and intense aromas of violet, redcurrant and red cherry. Its soft tannins, medium alcohol and noted acidity result in a balanced wine with medium body and long finish.
The lack of filtration may result in a small amount of sediment in the bottle, which is normal and by no means reduces the quality of the wine. This wine is best consumed within five years.
