Fusilli Grande al Tonno (Large Fusilli with Tuna)

I went to visit Mama for lunch at the farm today, and the moment I walked in she was glowing with excitement 😍🌿 She held up a little jar and said, “Look what I found — imported yellowfin tuna in olive oil! We’re making something special today!” 🐟🍅✨

Before I could even set my things down, she goes, “Hurry! Pull out your phone — you’ve got to record this one, it’s gonna be something special!” 🎥😂 And of course, she was right. Within minutes, the kitchen was filled with the smell of garlic, onions, and tomato sauce simmering together — the kind of aroma that makes you instantly hungry.

She tossed in the tuna, added her homemade sauce, and mixed it all together with fresh fusilli 🍝💋 We laughed, we filmed, we ate — and like always, I left with a full belly and a happy heart ❤️

Nothing beats Mama’s cooking — especially when it’s made with love (and a fancy jar of Italian tuna 😆🇮🇹).

Ingredients:
• 10 oz fusilli pasta
• 6 oz Callipo yellowfin tuna fillets in olive oil
• 1 small jar tomato sauce
• 1 green onion, chopped
• 1 garlic clove, minced
• 3 tbsp olive oil
• 2 sprigs parsley, chopped (reserve some for garnish)
• Salt and pepper to taste
• 1 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese (for serving)

Instructions:
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the fusilli. Meanwhile, heat 2 tbsp olive oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Sauté garlic and onion for 1 minute, then add tomato sauce, salt, and pepper. Stir in the tuna and parsley, gently breaking up the fillets. Simmer for 2 minutes.

Drain the pasta and add it directly to the sauce, tossing to coat. Add a splash of pasta water if needed and cook for another minute. Serve with a drizzle of olive oil, fresh parsley, and Parmesan cheese.
