After months of dust, debris and DIY, our old cantina has finally been transformed into the cosiest wine room and snug in our Italian farmhouse! 🍷✨
This used to be one of the darkest, most neglected rooms in the house, with crumbling walls, pipes running everywhere and an abandoned fireplace. But step by step, we turned it into a warm and inviting space where we can finally relax with a glass of Barolo after long renovation days.
In this episode, we take you through the entire transformation, we build walls, plaster & paint, plus we even build a custom wine rack from scratch.

Hi guys, I like Negroni too!! I would say that..
Beautiful job. It looks amazing👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🍷
The wall in your cantina is perfect. Can you share type, brand and color of the paint you used? Thanks guys. Looking forward to your next video.
Wonderful transformation. What a great place to relax.
What a fantastic space you've created👏👏👏
I hated your hemp color wet, but dry it looks fantastic!
Epic
It looks amazing and I love the hemp colour too.👌❤️
I sure those wine bottles need be facing neck down to stop the corks drying out “ corking “
Slapstick at its best. You must be the only couple that has fought during a reno…ha ha ha. All kidding aside, awesome job. Looks fab. Love watching you work. TY so much for sharing.
Looks great!!! ❤
😂 I thought it was normal to argue whilst doing DIY – also when trying to find a location? 👼
I do not know the size of the snug, but it might deserve one or two of the great bottles on the floor, you showed previously on your driveway. And what about hanging a couple of those 1980s Tuscan bottles with reed on the ceiling or vertically hanging 5 or 6 bottles (in a vertical row) on a thick rope next to the wall, topping it of with a black 1980's italian designfloor lamp, lighting the tuscan bottles🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷. Great project again!
Perfect. Nicely done 🥂
Great transformation! Have you sealed those tiles, in case of any spillages?
Bravi ragazzi, ben fatto ! Manca solo qualche bottiglia di Barolo Monfortino, da Piemontese ve lo consiglio…
Great work. And the cantina is looking very cosy now😊
🙂♥️🇧🇪
Det blev fint!
Hello, you may want to check however I always been told that light behind wine is not a good idea.
Excellent. All that's missing is a top-notch hi-fi and the wine room will be perfect.
Another great job, guys! That one looked like a PItA, though…I must admit! Glad you decided to keep it REAL with the little dust-up. 😉 OMG, you should hear some of OUR "tiffs" after almost 45 years of marriage!!! 😂😂😂 LOVE the hemp color, too! 🥰
Så snyggt designat och så fint gjort🎉
I’m sure you’ll have plenty of pictures of you’ll wine tasting that can be framed for the cantina. It’ll look lovely on the gorgeous walls ❤
Почему бы не сохранить старые исторические своды?
Will that small wood burner be your heat source? If so, it may be too close to the wine. Perhaps a nice glass door to minimize the wine's exposure to too much heat?
