  1. One tip for Americans: try to look less American and blend in a bit. Just look around what other people are wearing. Otherwise you can be spotted from scammers from a mile away…

  2. I cannot imagine what its like to wake up every single day of my life thinking of ways to screw somebody over. I just don't have that mindset.

  3. Just wear a fanny pack 😂 that way nobody can still your stuff lol I keep all my important stuff in my fanny pack 😂

  4. You can simplify the first case: 1. Don't engage with a certain population. Ever. If they don't look like they belong into Italy then keep walking.

  5. Feel scare going to Italy, Italy consider fiest world country but so many scams feel not to visit there.
Bharat(India), though we have poverty here, but won't find so many scam on Mumbai city.
Paying 4 euro for 1 liter of water??
I think people of Italy are greedy, here in Bharat people built water fountains where you get free water, even on railway platform, bus station one can find free water outlets, you can bring your container and take it for drinking purpose.

  6. We were thinking about going 😢to Rome in the Spring, for the first time. Not anymore, since Muslins have invaded and occupied Europe.

  8. Only one question. Why does police loses war against these criminals? Police officers in Italy are useless and pathetic 🙁

  9. Very useful and realistic, Naick. But be aware that bread is traditionally part of "coperto". Decades ago you would read " Pane e coperto" on the menu. So, it doesn't come for free, but you get as much bread as you like for a nominal fee, not the 3 GBP per small piece of bread you pay in Britain for instance. And since we italians couldn't conceive a meal without bread, it's still a bargain. What makes me mad is how poor or absent is what you call " tableware" nowadays. I grew up considering a new, immaculate tablecloth at every new customer as the minumum to expect for. Taxis are few and ridiculously expensive here, the honest ones cost so much, and many others try to do you in. I always walk or use public transport. Best regards from Italy!

  10. Thank you for the important advice…maybe , next time on my trip , l will bring a small VERY sharp pocket knife FOR protection against those BAD PEOPLE ?? Maybe ??😊

  11. Don't use a sidewalk, walk-up ATM. My card got skimmed at one of those. Now I always go inside an actual bank building to get cash.

  12. So basically just act like you're going to Luthuli Avenue , riveroad etc… you know the areas… for all my Kenyans in the comments 😂😂😂😂.

  13. I gor on a bus in Rome going to the acropolis when I got off. I had lost my wallet! It cost me a fortune to get a replacement! These pick pockets should be rounded up and shot! Not deported as they just keep coming back. It's the same in London. Get them out!

  14. where are the cops? art on the ground but no cops to clean it up. eu has too many illegals and has been taken over by illegals.

  15. Best tip for a tourist . Never Never get into a conversation with any stranger . Just ignore and walk on as if you never noticed them . They will get annoyed and walk away

  16. Why do tourist walk around with their passport , money , jewellery when they can leave at the hotel safe locker. All you need is water and a little cash and credit card

  17. Too many Africans at the train station asking if you need help. Always say no. If you need help go to a uniformed train staff. Unfortunately, local italians selling on the street are tired of tourists asking directions, they may point you to the opposite direction, Bring a map with you or use your phone directions.

  18. One thing I wanna say to American tourists in particular, the police CAN legally stop you and ask you to identify yourself even if you did nothing, both on foot or if you're driving

  19. These are fantastic tips thank you! Another YouTuber in Paris talked about street performers with cups of coins in heavy tourist areas and the cups are placed in tourists pathways — if the tourist knocks cup of coins over the scammer gets enraged and demands money to replace “lost” coins

  20. la verdada, nada muy distinto que en Latinoamérica… al fin y al cabo latinos…ya no voy por alla !!…

  21. 🇺🇸➡️🇮🇹❤Buongiorno! God Told our family of 9 to leave our life in America & go to Italy! We LOVE the community, the intentional life, the language, & would not change a thing! We are thankful for the healthier food, healthier air, the extremely kind people, & how safe we feel here! …imparando l'italiano e mi piace tantissimo! Piano piano 😊 ❤Thank you for your content!

  22. Italian government may have found a good source of foreign exchange earner. That's why they do nothing about pickpockets.

  23. We went recently to 4 cities in Italy. We saw the paintings lined up in the street scam, a pickpocket, one attempt to get in my purse. The pickpocket was unsuccessful because my bag was a travel bag with clips securing the zippered sections of my purse with documents/cash/cards. We also saw so many trying to sell the bracelets and a simple no and walking away worked well. The best advice is simply to be vigilant, secure well your valuables, and study local scams before going. Big note – leave the valuable jewelry at home because you do not need it while traveling nor do you want to attract too much attention from thieves.

  24. TIPPING what , let me tell you I am a tour ( and all your guides find this so it’s not because I am a bad guide in South Africa ) but VERY few Italians tip us if any in fact , so forget I will not be doing any tipping in Italy

  25. I would add in to the Taxi scenario make sure you are being dropped off at the correct destination. "Don't worry, it's right around the corner" have the taxi take you around the corner or you might find you are miles from where you want to be.

  26. In my experience, most of these thieves are Romanians or Romanian derived gypsies who use kids to do their dirty work. ALWAYS PUT YOUR WALLET IN YOUR FRONT JEANS POCKET.
