No trip to Rome is complete without trying Pizza in Rome! Roman style pizza can be quite different from pizza that most people are used to. It can resemble more of a flatbread or a focaccia than your standard pizza dough. However, many people swear by it, especially Bonci Pizzarium near Vatican City, as among the best pizza in the world. However, is pizza in Rome even the best pizza in Italy? Naples surely is the home of pizza is it not?
We will be giving an honest review of iconic pizza spots in Rome, which are some of the most iconic pizza spots in Italy, and seeing if authentic pizza in Italy really is worth the hype, or if it’s just blown up by vloggers and YouTubers who make anything foreign seem incredible! We’ll try not only Bonci Pizzarium, but also two other well regarded pizzerias in Rome and see if authentic Italian pizzerias really do live up to the hype, or if it’s all just social media and cooking show inflated hype!

I know in Italy round pizza is often eaten with a knife and fork, but I still think the best way to do it is to cut it into slices and eat it with your hands. It's not only more fun, it significantly improves the flavor

Italians and Roman pizza. Takes a long time to make it properly for the dough to become airy. Not just hours.
You sat close to the wall on the steps on the first go of eating. Not a good idea.
The second time was stupid-expensive. 350€/kg for pizza.
