Castiglione di Sicilia has less than 3000 inhabitants, located on the northern side of Etna. Very calm, romantic and friendly village with the areas most important wineries just down hills. Great also for a day stroll!
The village holds a very nice wine feast every year in the beginning of August, “Calici di Stelle”, which gathers about 4000 – 5000 visitors and most of the local wineries.
The Norman touch you see a bit everywhere but mostly on the top of the hill, “Lauria Castle”, which dominates the whole area.
